Canadian Election Misinformation Project

The Canadian Election Misinformation Project aimed to rapidly identify and respond to mis- and disinformation incidents during the 2021 Canadian federal election, while also evaluating the extent to which these incidents impacted the attitudes and behaviours of Canadians.

The Project was a civil society and academic partnership led by MEO. Partners included the Institute for Strategic Dialogue, Apathy is Boring, CPAC, and the Digital Democracies Institute. The Project was funded by the Rossy Family Foundation, the Canadian Heritage Digital Citizen Contribution Program, and the Public Policy Forum
